Who had been fighting for women's rights in Saudi Arabia - against the traditionally strong male guardianship ...
One important key against the strong male guardianship had been to allow women to drive a car - alone, without anyone else in the car.
Since 24th June 2018 we're allowed to drive a car in Saudi, but in May 2018 Ludschain al-Hathloul (together with the two other women), who is "the face" of women's right to drive a car, had been kidnapped in UAE, brought to Saudi Arabia, having to stay within the country - not allowed to leave, and been taken to prison at the beginning of June 2018.
Being heavily beaten & whipped, raped, totured with waterboarding and electro shocks she went on hunger strike on 26th October 2020 for the second time. Ever since family & friends fear the worst, because she hadn't been well anyway and they've tried to make her to sign a document stating that she never ever had been tortured at any time in Saudi Arabia.

We've hoped, that having had the Video-G20-summit in Saudi Arabia would have helped to get the three women, and some male supporter, but especially Ludschain al-Hathloul out of custody - quietly and without fuzz - and being allowed to leave Saudi Arabia together with their families.
