ALL THOSE WASTED YEARS
… ‘cause every other day it‘s
still the same old story, just
like a broken record on
repeat; at the time, you know,
starved of stimulation -
with our sanity intact -
we‘d had mixed feelings ‘bout it,
feeling like we‘d always be
two steps shy from anything,
which came to our attention
just at the right time + it‘s
that kind of life altering
set of experiences
that would eventually
shape our way of perceiving
attitude, image + sound
indulging in excesses
What sparked it for both of us
was that we'd relistened to
each other + realized:
Wow, this was in fact, like, a
really, really great thing +
probably we should find a
way for us to deal with the
fact that we did have a bunch
of stuff that was left over
from our previous attempts,
so many ideas, that‘d just
never come to fruition;
Though not looking like ourselves
anymore, we had the same
sparkling wit, just knowing well
how we liked to approach things,
+ so we gave it a shot
Occasionally that meant
having to redo stuff +
also opting for doing
some rather significant
removal of a couple
of different aspects to make
it work + once we got past
that we were in full control…
