ARÍCIA MESS feat. SIMONE SOU
Much has been said about the ‘special groove’ in black music but there has been little mention of the knowledge and wisdom that springs from the culture of the Native Indian and African bloodlines shared by Brazilians. For the last 20 years, this black carioca singer and composer, descendant of Brazilian indians, has celebrated life and spirit with her music. She was born with rhythm and tempo. Incorporating pop music influences into her style, she has the gift of effortlessly making people dance. Though don’t think moving onto the dance floor is enough - you have to check out her lyrics. It’s all part of the experience.

Simone Sou, the extraordinary drummer and percussionist from São Paulo, will be joining Arícia Mess in this incredible trip through the blackness. From a Brazilian musical background and upbring in São Paulo, Simone develops her own style: a percussive way of playing the drums with an urban approach inspired by traditional Brazilian music. From folk to modern, acoustic to electronic, she searches for new territories of sounds and percussive expressions to bring new elements to her curious percu-object-drum set-ups.

DIVA MAGUY
She crosses the borders with her art wings. She's a trans artist and activist, giving more visibility and solidarity for Trans*. She's a board member of GLADT e.V. and the SOGICA project in UK.
